Pile Inspection – Byron Bay

Project Summary: Apex was engaged to carry out detailed pile inspections for a residential development in Byron Bay. The goal was to verify geotechnical compliance and support the builder through a critical stage of construction.

The relocation involved extensive piling works to support the new southern retaining wall structure.

Thunderbolt-Wind-Farm

Project Summary: Apex was engaged to deliver the concept foundation design for Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) at the proposed Thunderbolt Wind Farm. The project is located north of the NSW, Australia.

Project Summary: Apex was engaged to conduct critical site inspections and geotechnical verification for six trenchless shaft sites as part of the Haughton Pipeline Duplication – Stage 2 project in Queensland. These inspections addressed limitations in prior geotechnical data and ensured that secant pile walls and shaft sockets were constructed to specification, maintaining the integrity of trenchless crossings under TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) loading.

Project Summary: Apex was engaged to prepare a Preliminary Geotechnical Design for multiple landslip sites along the steep terrain of Cape Tribulation Road in the Alexandra Range, as part of Douglas Shire Council’s slope remediation program (Packages 12 & 13). The project required early-stage design support to assess slope instability and propose appropriate engineering solutions tailored to local site constraints and road safety priorities.

Project Overview: Apex was engaged to lead the geotechnical investigation, design, and construction-stage support for a critical landslip site along a 100 m section of Barrington Tops Forest Road, approximately 3 km west of The Dingo Gate. The project was initiated following a major landslip event that compromised road safety and access to the Barrington Tops National Park.
